Hi, welcome to LeRoc!
LeRoc is a modern partner dance that crosses jive with moves adapted from the movie Dirty Dancing.
Stuff to know if you've never been before
It's very easy to do. We will teach 3 - 4 moves in 45 minutes that you can practise in freestyle. Classes are carefully structured to cater for both complete beginners and for people who are more advanced, and because each class is taught on a rotation basis you continually change partners and will therefore progress at an accelerated pace. After a forty-five minute beginners class you will have three to four moves that will look impressive and will enable you to freestyle on the dance floor.
What's Freestyle?
Our resident DJ plays the best music, selected from the last thirty years right up to current charts, after and in between lessons where you can dance with partners of your choice, or just sit back and watch the other dancers doing their stuff.
There's no pressure - take things at your own pace!
What to wear
- Wear shoes that you can spin in - avoid trainers and shoes with grippy soles
- Layered clothing - it can get hot.
Do I need a partner?
You can come on your own, or bring a partner of your choice. IT'S A SAFE place to be!
Each class runs separately on it's own. You don't need to do a course. Every routine loops around so that the last move links to the 1st move in the routine. You can dance a whole track with the basic 3 - 4 moves that you have learnt in the lesson.
